From, July 10- August 7, 2011 KEEP successfully conducted the Basic, Pre-intermediate and Intermediate Monsoon English Language Course. Camille Gautier and Pemba Dorje Lopchan, Ms. Kay Sherpa and Mr. Nhuja Shrestha, and Louise Nevitt were the course instructors. In this course, verbally and written proficiency skills were introduced with a tourism perspective. Most of the participants were professional trekking and rafting guides. The course was completed successfully and was fruitful due to the dedication of the instructors and the enthusiasm of the participants. The course focused on improving the English speaking, conversational abilities as well as sensitizing the participants to issues related to sustainable tourism development. The session was well arranged and executed by the course instructor.
